Dear Pastor and Praying Friends,

“I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD,
according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us,…”Isaiah 63:7a

Many times in life, unexpected things will come our way. Praise the Lord for His
“lovingkindness” and grace during these times. God has blessed and protected our family
these past few months and we praise Him for all that he “hath bestowed on us,”. In July a
young lady from our home church came to visit for a month. We had a wonderful time and
were able to take her to see some of the areas around the country. Two of the areas we
visited were a small community called Belfast and the village of Justicia, (about 4 hours N
of where we are). I was able to preach and encourage the people in the village on Saturday
and then on Sunday preached in the services in Belfast. Three young people were saved and
two others made decisions to get their hearts right with God during the service. Please pray
for these works. Both are pastored by national pastors and although they have struggles,
they are doing well and growing.

August proved to be a very trying month for our family. For two weeks we were with
out water! It began with a planned shutoff to make some repairs on the system and was
followed by three rounds of broken pipes in our area. We have learned how to improvise
and have realized how much we take everyday things for granted. On August 23rd, I was
admitted to the hospital with appendicitis. Praise the Lord that the surgery went well and
my recovery is going very well. During my stay at the hospital, the electricity at our house
went out for four days (apparently plumbers working in the area had cut a cable and failed
to inform anybody of the mistake!!!) I praise the Lord for the protection and safety of my
family during my stay at the hospital.

I would ask that you would pray for Solid Rock Baptist Church and Pastor Dlamini. Satan has been attacking the young people of the church and many have fallen prey to his attack. It seems that just as God begins to do a work in people’s lives, Satan fights all the harder to see that God’s work is hindered and people loose sight of what God is doing. God has placed a burden on our hearts for the youth of this country. We would ask you to pray
that we would have wisdom and discernment in teaching them that God’s way is always the
best way and that the world has nothing to offer but sorrow and misery.

In closing we would ask that you pray for our home church, People’s Baptist Church in
Kelowna, BC. After eighteen years of faithful service, our Pastor, Claude Madle, feels that
God is calling him and his family into another area of ministry. Pray that God will give our
church family wisdom and strength as they seek God’s leading regarding a new pastor.
Thank you all for your prayers! We know that without the prayers and support of each of you, it would be difficult for our family to minister and serve here in South Africa. We are
encouraged to “keep on keeping on” because of you! Until He returns, stay faithful to serve and love the Lord which “hath bestowed on us” many blessings.

In Christ,
Jeremy, Rebekah, Titus & Tanner Johnson
