Dear Pastor and Friends,

On August twenty-fifth, our world was turned upside down. When God decided to take Carole home, death entered our family taking away from us a vibrant wife and mother. We have mix emotions. On one hand, we are happy that she is home but, on the other, we miss her greatly. I confess that I had not foreseen this happening. It took us completely by surprise. It is hard to imagine that in a few weeks we will be spending Christmas without her. The pain is still very present as you can read, but we are looking to the Lord each day and every hour for the grace that only He can give.

After I received counseling from wise pastors, I decided to take a furlough, which we had never really had; we took only six weeks in thirteen years. It is, therefore, time for us to report what God has done and, at the same time, give us time to heal. We, Marc-André, Catherine, and I, just completed our first trip in the Maritimes provinces. We had meetings in Halifax, Moncton, Fredericton, and Saint-John. We also assisted a missions conference at Grace Baptist Church where God gloriously saved a lady by the name of Sue. Later on, after a Wednesday prayer meeting at Jones Lake baptist church, a lady came to me afterward, introduced herself and told me she had gotten saved twelve years ago after hearing Carole testimony. I also preached at Emmanuel Baptist Bible Institute for a spiritual emphasis week. At the same church, I was able to preach for a youth conference where several young people surrendered their lives to the Lord. Our voyage concluded with the annual Bible conference of Fundamental Baptist Church in Summerside, PEI. Two hundred and fifty people gathered in a community center. The theme of the conference was ‘’The preservation of God’s Church’’. It was a real blessing to see old friends again, but it was certainly different without Carole.

I want to thank all of you who helped me with the funeral expenses, but most importantly for your supporting prayers. We do needed them and continue to need them daily.

We are still planning on starting a church in Gatineau. That desire has not changed. We do believe that at this time we need to be on furlough.

In closing, here are three prayer requests that I would like you to pray for. (1) Please pray for my family, (2) the selling of the house in Drummondville, and (3) for David and Melody as he is trying to find a job in Ottawa or near the Gatineau area. They would be essential to the starting of the new church.

Once again, thank you for everything. May the Lord bless you. In the harvest together,

Jacques for the family

prayer requests

1. In August of 2010, the Brind'Amour family suffered a tragic loss as Carole went to be with the Lord. She was a "vibrant wife and mother". Pray for strength and guidance for the entire family.

2. Pray for the possibility of starting a new work in Gatineau, Quebec.  The city has 250,000 people and almost no gospel light.

3. Pray that God would send us the right man to lead the church here in Drummondville, QB.

4. Pray for David’s wedding in June, Marc-André’s business, and Catherine as she pursues a nursing degree.
